Tell the World Your Best Story

I was scheduled to go into surgery last Friday. I was in Pre-op, with the painkillers kicking in while I lounged in my hospital gown and awaited the IV with my husband at my side. But first, I had to talk to the surgeon. He’d seen me three days before and the tumor in my throat was still at 3cm, but oddly after working with an energy healer the night before, I couldn’t feel the tumor anymore.

The tumor had literally had disappeared overnight.

The energy healer had said to me, “You have a story stuck in your throat and your angels want you to know you MUST tell a better story,” and then proceeded to help me understand and release the energy of the wrong story I’d been telling.

What was that story?

I’d been telling a story about getting fired from my tea company.
Son with a birth defect.
Tea worker poverty.
Political BS that was depressing me.
Climate change.

And subconsciously:
I don’t deserve to be successful when others are suffering.
I can’t be happy when others are sick and dying.
I can’t enjoy the planet because we’re ruining it, instead, I have to go fight.
Fight. Suffer. Sympathize.

Instead, what was the story my angels wanted me to tell?
One of inspiration.
Hope.
Promise.
Amazement.

Because inspiring people to do the right thing helps them gain the energy to do it.
Not the suffering and fear story I had been telling.

The surgeon came into the Pre-Op room and touched my throat at least ten times, trying his best to find the tumor. He looked confused especially after I told him I had released some old energy in the form of stories from my throat. He said, “I’m not ready to credit your energy healer on this, but in my 30 years, I have never seen this happen. I can’t operate on something that isn’t there.”

He then hugged me and we giggled. I high fived him and he kept shaking his head in disbelief.

SUCH A BETTER STORY.

We inspired the doctor with it.
The nurse was blown away, her mind opened.
The other patients in the Pre-Op were shocked when I started dancing in my hospital robe.
The other nurse said, “Go get that huge Co-Pay back from accounting and celebrate!”

The old story would have been, “I can’t be well if other people are not.”

That story has to end. It doesn’t help them now, does it?
What helps others is your triumph story. Your inspiration, not your suffering.

The nurse then came in and said, “You’re welcome for the free cocktail, now go have fun” (meaning the painkillers, oh this industry!). I then got dressed and my husband and I literally danced out of the hospital Pre-Op room and went to Santa Barbara for a romantic weekend instead of having me in bed for a week recovering from a huge gash in my throat. I bought a diamond necklace instead of paying the hospital.

Isn’t this a better story?

That’s what the healer wanted me to know and share with the world—AND YOU, that WE are on the earth to tell “A Better Story.” Not one of suffering—ie: my son’s birth defect, etc…but a story of inspiration and amazement of what is possible in the world.

Isn’t that exciting!!?

WHAT IS YOUR BEST STORY?
Tell that one.

Build your brand from inspiration, not sadness.
Who wants misery?
Not us.

What’s your better story?
We are here to spread light.
Yes, we are dealing with climate change, and a world where some people are suffering. But if we suffer with them how can we help them?

By telling a story of hope, promise, and ingenuity and taking action from there.
We can change our story.
Let’s get on it now!

If you have a friend you think would benefit, share if you care!
